Little Chest tries to store as little as possible on your device. This page explains what we use and why. “Cookies” here also covers similar browser storage.

Essential

We use these to run the site and keep it secure, so they don’t depend on your choice.

• Your cookie choice. Stored in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask you again.
• A short-lived security token. When you open a download, our server gives your browser a signed token that helps protect downloads from automated abuse. It is held in your browser’s memory only, and nothing is saved on your device.

Only if you accept

• A note that you’ve subscribed. Stored in local storage on this device so we don’t show the signup form again. If you decline, or change your mind later, we delete it.

What we don’t use

We don’t use advertising cookies, analytics, or other third-party scripts that set cookies on your device. If that changes, we’ll update this page and ask you first where the law requires it.

Other services

• Our photos and downloads are stored with Google Firebase, so Google receives your IP address when they load.
• If you subscribe, your email address is handled by our email provider, currently MailerLite, to send you our emails. This isn’t stored on your device.

You can change your choice at any time: Cookie settings. You can also clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
