This page explains what personal information Little Chest (littlechest.com) collects, why, and what your rights are. We keep it to the minimum we need.

Who we are

What we collect, and why

• Your email address, if you subscribe. We use it to send you new printables and party ideas. We ask you to confirm your subscription by email before we add you to our list. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Technical information when you visit, such as your IP address. Our hosting provider records this in its server logs when you load pages or download files, and our own systems use it briefly to limit how many requests one person can make, which protects the site from misuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working.
• Nothing else. We don’t ask you to create an account, we don’t collect payment details, and we don’t use analytics or advertising trackers. The games on this site don’t collect or store any personal information.

Who receives your information

• Google (Firebase and Google Cloud), which hosts the site, stores our files and keeps server logs.
• MailerLite, our email provider, which stores subscriber email addresses and sends our emails on our behalf. [Update this line if you change provider.]

Transfers outside the UK

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we’d like the chance to put things right first.

Children

Our articles and printables are written for parents and carers, and our newsletter is for adults. Children can play the games on the site, but we don’t collect personal information from them, and we don’t knowingly collect it from anyone under 13. If you think a child has given us their email address, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Security

We use reputable providers and sensible safeguards to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and its date. If a change affects your email subscription, we’ll tell you.
